The harbor at Newport, Oregon, at Yaquina Bay is literally the heart of Newport. This scene has fascinated me over the many times I've been there and stood gazing at the fishing boats, the wonderful bridge and the glorious sky - in all its different iterations. The masts and their reflections in the calm bay water always make me think of an electrocardiogram monitoring a heartbeat.
